Aamir Khan Sixty-year-old Moti Jahangir owes a lot to Aamir Khan, who played a good samaritan. On Sunday morning at about 6.30 a.m., Aamir was on his way to a studio when he saw the accident at Bandra’s Linking Road. Two boys on a speeding motorbike rammed into the elderly gentleman throwing him completely off balance.Aamir, who was on the other side of the road, immediately took a U-turn. Our source close to the production unit said, “Aamir was on his way to record an interview which was scheduled at 7 a.m. When Aamir saw that the elderly man had been knocked down, he instructed his bodyguards to rush him to the nearest hospital. There are usually two cars with Aamir - one which he uses while the other one is occupied by his security guards. His security men were obviously worried about Aamir, but he assured them that he would be safe. He also told his men that it was important for them to be with the victim.”

According to our source, Aamir continued to be in touch with his security guards even after reaching the studio. He said, “Aamir kept enquiring about the man. He learnt that the injured man’s name was Moti Jahangir and that he was 60 years old. Aamir’s security had taken Moti to Bhabha Hospital.”
Sunil Bohra, the producer of the show, said, “Aamir appeared tense when he arrived at the studio. He spoke about an accident that he had witnessed on his way.”
Aamir Khan confirmed the news and said, “The sad fact was that nobody stopped to help the man. He was just lying on the road even as cars were passing by. We have to learn to help people in trouble. The person lying there injured or dying could be our family member, would we not want someone to come to his or her help?
”Dr.Vinod Khade of Bhabha Hospital said, “Yes it is true that some men had rushed Moti Jahangir to the hospital. But a person claiming to be Jahangir’s relative moved him to a private hospital.”
