Kangna Ranaut has finally managed to steal the limelight with the help of her various link- ups with many eligible bachelors in both Hollywood and Bollywood. This time, rumours say that Kangna is on a mission to impress her good friend Salman Khan.Kangna and Salman's friendship took off last year but it was Kangna who was keen on keeping in touch with him. She invited him for her birthday bash and now she makes sure that she visits him whenever she can. "Kangna wants to see herself in the big league and she does not have a godfather in the industry yet. It has been hard for her to settle down here. Although she has created space for herself, she knows that it's important to have powerful friends backing you up. Salman has a golden heart, once you are in his good books then there's no looking back. He takes it on himself to help his friends and is ready to support them in any way," a source says. The only thing that one needs to watch is how long their friendship lasts.

Kangana doesn’t mind getting bald

While she has curls to die for, leggy lass Kangana Ranaut has no problem, in shaving them off if a right offers comes up her way.
Kangana who is currently working for a Tamil flick says, “Yes, I am working on a Tamil film, but I haven’t been asked to shave my head for it. But I’d give my left arm to be able to play such a character. Going bald is no big deal for me and if I’m required to do so, I won’t hesitate to do it.”

Kangana Ranaut signed by Milan Luthria opposite Ajay Devgan

After receiving rave reviews for ‘Fashion’ and ‘Raaz- The Mystery Continues’, Kangana Ranaut is surely on an uphill now. She already has plum roles in Hrithik Roshan starrer ‘Kites’ and Samir Karnik’s ‘Roshan’ opposite Bobby Deol. No wonder she is getting lucrative projects offered by ace directors.
She has recently signed up a film with Ajay Devgan as her lead co-star. The film is Milan Luthria’s ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai’, which is being produced by Balaji Motion Pictures. The film explores the growth of underworld in the city, in the 70s and the 80s.
Ajay plays a character based on the notorious smuggler Haji Mastaan, who was the then don of the underworld in the city. Kangana is romantically cast opposite him. Besides these two, the film will also star Emraan Hashmi and Prachi Desai. The shooting is expected to start in May. Most of the film will be shot in the city itself, except for a few sequences which will be shot in Dubai and Bangkok.

Basics on Kangana

Kangana Amardeep Ranaut was born on 20th March 1984 in Bhambla, a village in Mandi District, Himachal Pradesh, India. She lived in Shimla and Chandigarh before moving to New Delhi. Her father Amardeep was a businessman while her mother Asha was a schoolteacher. She has an older sister called Rangoli and a younger brother, Akshit.

She did her schooling at the DAV Model School in Chandigarh. She went on to study at the Science College in Shimla and was interested in becoming a doctor. She moved to New Delhi and joined the Elite Modelling Agency but her modeling career did not take off. She also joined the Asmita Theater Group in 2003 and acted in several plays. She enrolled in Asha Chandra’s Acting School.

She was in a café when she was noticed by Anurag Basu and signed up for Gangster in 2005.

Kangana is dating Adhyayan Suman, son of actor Shekhar Suman and the couple have co-starred in Raaz – The Mystery continues.

2006Kangana Ranaut appeared onscreen for the first time as Simran, a small town girl with big dreams who falls in love with a gangster in Anurag Basu’s Gangster. She won the Filmfare Best Actress Award. In Mohit Suri’s Woh Lamhe she played the role of Sana which was said to be based on Parveen Babi.

2007 Kangana was part of Shakalaka Boom Boom and Anurag Basu’s Life in a Metro, which was a hit.

2008 Her first Tamil movie Dhaam Dhoom saw her as Shenba and was successful. In Madhur Bhandarkar’s Fashion, she played the part of Shonali, a model who loses herself to drugs.

2009 Kangana’s first release in 2009 was Mohit Suri’s Raaz – The Mystery Continues. Her performance received positive reviews. She will be seen with Bobby Deol in Roshan and with Hrithik Roshan in Kites.

She is also working with Italian director Gilda Pianelli in the movie “Between The Night And The Moon”.
