And I think this is the least I can do for something I have grown fond of,” says Ranbir, adding, “I was blown away by the kids’ performances in the film. Although it is a typical masala entertainer, I’m happy that it also has other things to say besides only providing entertainment.”Chillar Party director Vikas Bahl informs that kids from his film wanted Ranbir for the song. “They themselves came up with idea of putting in an item song. And when Ranbir watched the film and loved it, kids suggested that he perform the song,” says Vikas.Shot in Film City on Monday, Tayn tayn fissh… has been choreographed by Bosco-Ceaser. The choreographer duo has mixed street dancing with contemporary style for Ranbir’s steps. “We have seen him dancing in Wake Up Sid (2009) and Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008). And we want to take Ranbir’s dancing to the next level,” says Vikas. Composed by Amit Trivedi of Dev D (2009) fame, the song combines street instruments, local voices and dialects, with Amit and his mother providing vocals for it.

While shooting for Rajkumar Santoshi’s ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’, Ranbir Kapoor gave Katrina Kaif a nickname. In a sequence, the duo was asked to climb a 200 ft high ladder and to everybody’s surprise, Kat climbed it with ease. Usually girls fear to climb such a height but Katrina climbed it so comfortably that she left Ranbir behind.The unit surprised to see Katrina’s daring act and at the very moment, Ranbir gave her a nickname Rambo’s sister ‘Sambo’.'Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahini' is a humorous love story. Ranbir Kapoor believes in quiet celebrations

As Ranbir Kapoor turns 27, he has double reasons to celebrate as his birthday week will also see his much-awaited film ‘Wake Up Sid’ hit the screens. However, Ranbir does not believe in partying hard for his B’day and he intends to keep the celebration very quiet and subtle.
Elaborating on his birthday plans, Ranbir said, “I will be having a quiet dinner with my parents. My sister Riddhima and my brother-in-law Bharat are traveling this year. I’m a shy guy and I normally like having an intimate celebration rather than something ostentatious.”

He adds, “I’m not one of those guys for surprise parties. I feel awkward. I have no idea what Deepika has planned for me. I haven’t seen her for a few days because I have been in Bhopal and she was in Mumbai. However, I hope it isn’t too big a surprise because even she knows how reserved I am.”
Of course, he does not forget to mention his forthcoming release and says, “The best gift I can ask for this year is that everyone goes to see my film. I don’t know how to hardsell myself or my film but I can surely request people to see it.”

Ranbir will be seen stammering in the romantic comedy which has Katrina Kaif and Upen Patel as his co-stars. A source from the sets reveals, "APKGK is Santoshi's comeback to the comedy genre after a long time. To make it really funny, Santoshi is making sure he incorporates a distinct look and particular mannerisms for each character." The source adds, "Santoshi has made Ranbir stammer as he feels that this will get him sympathy from the other characters in the movie as well as the audiences. He essays the underdog and tries hard for everything. In time, his stammering fades out as he gets more confident."It is learnt that Shahid took tips from doctors and people who stammering to essay his role in Kaminey."But Ranbir is doing it in his own style without anyone's help, though," informs the source. Ranbir remained unavailable for comment.

While most know that Ranbir Kapoor turned down the offer to star in Kunal Kohli’s next romantic comedy, not many know the reason for Ranbir’s refusal. Kunal had approached Ranbir to play the lead in his next film, which is being produced by Reliance’s Big Entertainment with whom Kunal has signed a three-film deal.According to a reliable source, the real reason why Ranbir refused Kunal’s film was because the young actor wanted some major changes in the script.A source close to the actor said, “Ranbir was not too excited about the subject of Kunal’s romantic comedy. Ranbir felt that the audience’s taste had changed and they didn’t want to see the cliched stuff over and over again. That’s when Ranbir told Kunal to make some changes in the script to which Kunal agreed albeit reluctantly.”Ranbir and Kunal had another meeting after the required changes were made in the script. “To Kunal’s dismay, Ranbir was still not happy with the script. Kunal attempted to make Ranbir see things from his perspective but Ranbir refused to relent. Kunal even tried to reason with Ranbir by citing several examples of how Yash Raj Films have had similar themes told in different ways. Ranbir continued to be unconvinced as he firmly believes that hackneyed story lines do not work with the new generation. Ranbir told Kunal that only a fresh story line would work,” added our source.This time, Kunal refused to buy Ranbir’s argument. “Kunal’s opinion was that the taste of the Indian viewers will never change and that hackneyed plots still went down well with the masses. Unfortunately, the lengthy discussion was a futile attempt by Kunal. A trifle irritated Kunal compared Ranbir to his father Rishi Kapoor. The director told Ranbir that though his father had been a superstar, Ranbir still had a long way to go as an actor.

Ah, young love! Airport meetings, long drives and movie dates. Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone were spotted at a recent late-night show at a Juhu multiplex.

The evening, which started off with what looked like a tiff between the two, but ended with the two lovers making up. An eyewitness says, "It was a late-night show for Marley and Me. The hall had only a handful of people present. Ranbir and Deepika got the best seats in the house right in the last row in the corner with ample privacy. The couple looked a little distant.

Ranbir was pre-occupied on his phone and Deepika was looking very bored. At some point, they began talking and then made up and made out.

The people who were present at the screening at some point screamed at them to 'get a room', which was ignored by Ranbir."

After the movie, the couple made their way to the car park where Ranbir's brand new Range Rover was waiting with his driver.

Ranbir ordered the driver to get on the back seat while he and Deepika sat in the front and made their way towards Bandra.
