Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, who is set to cross the 200,000 mark in Twitter followers, visited the headquarter of the micro-blogging website in San Francisco after being especially invited there.
Priyanka tweeted about her visit to the headquarter where she met Biz Stone, Twitter co-founder.
“My day was really interesting because I was invited to Twitter headquarter in San Francisco! Had a great time. Thanks Biz and team for the wonderful hospitality,” she posted.
The 27-year-old, who has been shooting in US for Sajid Nadiadwala’s “Anjaana Anjaani”, is having much more number of fan follower in Twitter as compared to the other bollywood stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Preity Zinta, Shahid Kapoor and many more.

Hrithik and Priyanka named as the youth icons of the year

This year Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra were honored with the youth icons awards from the entertainment field. Following Hrithik Roshan was actor-director Farhan Akhtar and behind Priyanka was Katrina Kaif.
Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi was honored as the Icon of the year at the inaugural edition of the India Youth Icon Awards which was organized jointly by Wizcraft Entertainment and electronics major Videocon. This award seeks to recognize and reward individual excellence and exemplary achievement in the genres of business, sports, entertainment, media, social welfare and justice and technology.

Priyanka Chopra Love Story 2050 may not have done well at the box office, but the actress looks forward to a whole lot of films which are releasing back to back. Vijayeta Films Chamku, then there’s Rumi Jaffrey’s God Tussi Great Ho and Goldie Behl’s Drona.
The actress has great sentimental values attached with Vijayeta Films. “My first film was produced by Vijayeta. I got my first check from the banner and that makes it even more interesting for me to work with them in their forthcoming film Chamku,” says the actress.Revealing an incident about the film, Priyanka says, “I remember we were shooting for a song at Bobby Deol’s farm in Lonavala. The farmhouse is located on a hill and Bobby told me that they owned the hill. I was stunned and amazed when I heard that. We had big huge dinner cooked at the farmhouse where we had a little party at night. It was one big get-together.”
Speaking about the film she says, “This is my fourth film with Bobby. He is playing a very complicated character and he has done ia good job. Chamku is a very realistic film. It is very down to earth and it can be related to a common man’s life. People will see me in Indian wear after a very long time. I play a school teacher, who tries to find happiness in small things.” About her role as a teacher Priyanka says, “I had a long sequence with children and since I love children, I was able to spend an entire day with them.

Priyanka and Shilpa will rock ‘Dostana’ together

Bollywood beauty Priyanka Chopra and Bigg Boss host Shilpa shetty are the two glam dolls who will rock ‘Dostana’ with their bodies. It is said that a specially designed Bikini has again been flown in from Miami which is a place where Bikini babes are found scattered on the beach. Abhishek Bachchan and the director of ‘Dostana’ shopped for some online shopping and selected gold colored Bikini to be worn by Priyanka in ‘Dostana’.

When Abhi picked the bikini, he went and gifted the costume to priyanka and said that it was a gift from him. Priyanka obliged and accepted the gift. But to her surprise the Bikini was bitsy and was also tight to be worn by her. Then she made some changes in the bikini and Manish Malhotra’s Tailor sewed according to the taste of Priyanka.
It is reported that the bikini which Abhishek presented was too over exposing and if Priyanka would have tried it she would have exposed the area below her body which is 6 inches below her naval and her buttocks would have been almost visible. Moreover the bikini’s upper piece was jut covering her nipples and her down part of her breasts were revealed.
Shilpa will also be seen wearing a red bikini through out the film ‘Dostana’. This film is about a gay couple and Abhi and John Abraham will play the roles.

It seems that Priyanka Chopra is getting used to the idea of receiving consecutive awards this year considering she has already won two best actress awards this year."I think I've been lucky this year," she says. Which other actress did she think was her closest competition? "I think Aishwarya. She looked beautiful and was just fantastic in Jodha Akbar."
Last year, Dostana and Fashion had her in completely different characters. Both the films went on to be successful critically as well as commercially. Which role was more difficult to portray? "Both were challenging in their own way. For example, in Fashion I was portraying the central character and the entire responsibility was on my shoulders.
Moreover, it was a character with multiple shades and it went through a transformation. On the other hand, in Dostana my character had tranquility among funny situations between two men. I had to maintain the balance in the plot," she says.
But what actually went wrong in a big film like Drona? "I think an actor is just a small part of the project. A huge crew toils hard day and night to get a film compete. We have all worked and given our best. It's always up to the public choice, I don't have any say in that," she says.
Talking about her forthcoming films, she seems on top of the world. "I think I have two great and diverse roles in both Kaminay and What's Your Raashee? I have admired both Vishal Bhardwaj and Ashutosh Gowariker's bodies of work and it's been a great experience working in the movies."
With back-to-back successes, critical acclaim, media attention and great roles ahead, what else is left for her to achieve? "Don't make it sound like I have started getting lifetime achievement awards. It's been just a few years and I am just a few films old. I am really kicked about my roles in the forthcoming movies, but I am just unable to speak about them right now. But, I guess I have a long way to go and a lot more to achieve," she ends.

After her on-and-off relationship with Harman Baweja, and, rumours of her growing closeness with Shahid Kapur, there are murmurs in the industry that Priyanka is bonding big time with Scottish actor Gerard Butler (of 300 and P.S. I Love You, fame). Priyanka and Gerard first met at the inauguration of Atlantis, The Palm, Dubai’s latest iconic luxury resort, in November 2008. The two have been in regular touch with other. A friend of Priyanka tells Mumbai Mirror, “Since November, Priyanka and Gerard have kept in touch via phone calls and SMSes.”According to sources, Priyanka and Gerard had actually hit it off at the party hosted by Shah Rukh Khan in Dubai, soon after the inauguration of the luxury resort. Today, Priyanka and Gerard share a deep bond.Priyanka’s official spokesperson did not deny the ‘dostana’ between Priyanka and Gerard. She said, “Priyanka and Gerard hit it off really well in Dubai and have maintained their friendship ever since.’Buzz is that Priyanka and Gerard recently had lunch and coffee together in Chicago where Priyanka was shooting for Ashutosh Gowariker’s What’s Your Rashee? War of the Divas

Earlier this week we had reported that Kareena Kapoor had let the organisers of an awards event held last evening, down at the last minute. Kareena's exit created a one-and-a-half minute space. After some quick thinking the organisers asked Arjun Rampal to perform on a Rock On number along with Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, Bipasha Basu and Deepika Padukone, with Priyanka performing the grand finale. Our source from the venue told us that when Katrina got wind of the plan, she was upset and insisted that she wanted to be the last one to perform.Apparently backstage a major argument flared up between the two divas, Priyanka and Katrina. Our source said, “Both Priyanka and Katrina had to step on the stage along with Bipasha and Deepika while Arjun Rampal waited for them.”Our source revealed, “Priyanka did not like it and stood her ground. There was huge chaos all around and the organisers didn't know what to do.” However, better sense prevailed and Priyanka decided to step aside and let Katrina enter last.All were relieved. “If Priyanka hadn't agreed to step aside Arjun's act would have gone for a toss. One must say that Priyanka was magnanimous. The organisers were shocked when they learnt about Priyanka and Katrina's fight.” We aksed Katrina if she got into an argument with Priyanka, she said, “Frankly, I don't care about such things. Then, Sohail Khan offered Priyanka a role opposite himself in his co-production Main and Mrs Khanna, but Priyanka refused. Then, there were reports that Salman has not taken Priyanka's decision well and now is back to cold-shouldering her. Now with this standoff between Salman's girlfriend Katrina and her, we wonder if we will ever see the two beauties together or Salman romancing Priyanka on screen, ever.

The two actresses recently caught up during a special show of Victory which stars Hurman S Baweja opposite Amrita. An insider revealed that Priyanka loved Amrita’s performance in the film and couldn’t wait to tell her that. The source says, “Priyanka liked Amrita’s performance so much that after the screening she went up to her and told her how much she appreciated her work in the film. Amrita was quite touched to hear that from Priyanka and the two ladies were inseparable as they chatted amicably for a long time after that.” All this even when rumours of Amrita being the new gal in Hurman’s life — which till now revolved around Priyanka — are doing rounds! Must say some actors can look beyond competition. Way to go girls!

Priyanka Chopra and Dino Morea are set to sizzle in Yash Raj's Pyaar Impossible, that has Uday Chopra in the lead role.
The two earlier worked in Dharmesh Darshan's Aap Ki Khatir.
According to reports, Pyaar Impossible is based on Hollywood film Notting Hill, starring Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts.

never dreamt that it was going to be movies for her one day. For someone who had once dreamt of becoming a software engineer or a criminal psychologist at the best, has come a long way today.
Priyanka Chopra, Miss World 2000, is today among the top stars in Bollywood. And, going by the film offers she has bagged of late, she seems to be all set to rule Bollywood in the days to come!
And today, is she is the most sought after in Mumbai's tinsel town.
Hailing from an Army family, Priyanka did her education from La Martiniere Girls College in Lucknow as a resident student. Then a short stay at Maria Goretti College in Bareilly prepared her for further studies in the US. Life took on a complete change with the Femina Miss India.
This former Miss World has against her name a commendable list of philanthropic activities with which she is associated. During her student days, she became the only Indian in the US to be selected at state level for the National Opus Honour choir and she participated in extensive charity work.
She later joined the CAF and CII in their literacy programme and became their ambassador. Priyanka had also earlier been part of the government-sponsored Polio Eradication Programme as a volunteer.
She then made it to Hindi films after going the model route. The Miss World crown is of course a feather in her cap. It won her the award for the Filmfare Best Female Debut. She then went on to make critics sit up and notice her when she won the Filmfare Best Villain Award for her performance in Abbas-Mustan's 'Aitraaz' in 2004. Even commercially, her career started picking up with films like 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi' in 2004, 'Krrish' in 2006 and Farhan Akhtar's Don - The Chase Begins Again, also in 2006. There were of course duds like Harry Baweja's Love Story 2050 and Rumi Jafery's God Tussi Great Ho. But that shouldn't be cause for much worry as Priyanka has films like Goldie Behl's Drona opposite Abhishek Bachchan, Chamku in opposite Bobby Deol, Dostana opposite Abhishek and John Abraham, Ashutosh Gowariker's What's Your Raashee? with Harman Baweja and Madhur Bhandrakar's Fashion in her kitty.
