Salman Khan sets the dance floor on fire in Khan Kya Gyaan

February 19, 2010: Earlier we reported that Salman Khan would be seen giving commentary in his upcoming film ‘Prem Kaa Game’ but this is not all that he’s doing in the film. The latest that we learnt about Salman bhai is that he is also all set to shake his booty on the dance floor and set it on fire by grooving to ‘Khan Kaa Gyaan’ dance number.
Our reliable source from the sets of ‘Prem Kaa Game’ says, “Besides, narrating the story of the film ‘Prem Kaa Game’, Salman Khan has also performed on ‘Khan Kaa Gyaan’ dance number which comes at a very interesting point in the film.”
Continuing they add, “It’s being said that Salman Khan has done a cameo in the film which holds no truth, as Salman Khan is present in the major chunk of the film.”
‘Prem Kaa Game’ is a family entertainer and stars Arbaaz Khan, Tara Sharma, Johnny Lever, Malaika Arora, and Madhuri Bhattacharya.

In the evenings after the work schedule, Kareena used to step out for shopping. That particular day, Salman had accompanied her and when Bebo fell for a Dolce and Gabbana handbag and was about to pay the storekeeper, she was surprised to know that it had already been paid for. “Salman Is Quite Lazy” : Says Katrina Kaif

Not many people have the guts to speak in front of Salman Khan. Only Katrina Kaif dares to make such daring comment against hot-headed Salman Khan. Other than Kat if someone else comments that Salman is very lazy then Sallu miya would have teach him or her a good lesson. Since the comment has been made by Kat, he took it easily. Salman Khan’s love Katrina Kaif not only thinks that Salman is a lazy guy but she also declared it to the whole world.
In reply to a question, Katrina shared this important insight on her twitter page about Salman, she writes, “No, Salman’s not on twitter. So you think he has the patience to update on a daily basis?? Naah, he’s quite lazy!!
Let’s wait and see how does Sallu Miya reacts to Katrina’s comment or he does feel lazy to react.

Salman launched the coins as an initiative of Being Human, his trust for needy people, in association with jewellery house Gitanjali. The proceeds from the coins will go to the charity.

Salman Khan Pays Kareena’s Bills

Salman Khan, as usual is famous for his generosity and expensive gifts. This time, however, his generosity had a different expression. It’s not common for Salman to pamper actresses and pay their hefty shopping bills, that too when she is not Katrina Kaif, his girl friend. It was for Bebo, Salman’s good friend and also co-star of his movie Main Aur Mrs Khanna, that the moody Khan loosened his purse strings.
When the unit of ‘Main Aur Mrs Khanna’ was shooting in Melbourne, the shopaholic Kareena used to end her day with shopping. But one fine day when Bebo wrapped up her shopping and went to pay the bill, she was left awestruck as her bill was already paid by Salman. In fact, according to sources, he even helped Kareena in carrying bags.
Not just that, Sallu gifted her a Rs 2.5 lakh worth limited edition handbag which can be seen in the movie, swinging on Bebo’s arm. About the incident, Bebo is quoted as saying, “Salman’s generosity cannot be matched. It was a very sweet gesture on his part. He is a wonderful person at heart.”

After Shah Rukh Khan and other contemporaries, Salman Khan is next in line to leave his mark on India’s second most favourite sport. A whole new Salman Khan

Salman Khan has lost oodles of weight and his lovely charm is back on his face.
Those who saw him at Amrita Arora’s wedding were awestruck by his slim physique, thanks to his limited connection with smoking and drinking these days.
However some girls still like Sallu, as the good ‘ol large chested man, to which Sallu replies, “But I’m large hearted, so how does it matter?”

Say Cheers!
Aamir Khan has convinced Salman Khan to stop drinking, at least for the course of the film Veer

Amazing as this may sound, Aamir Khan has achieved what all of Salman’s family and a long trail of girlfriends couldn’t. He, Aamir, has succeeded in convincing him, Salman, to give up drinking. And though it is for the duration of the film Veer, who knows? It could become something permanent or at least semi permanent. As our source explained, “Aamir and Salman are good friends who spend a lot of time together. It isn’t surprising to see Aamir at Salman’s home and vice versa. In fact Aamir and Kiran Rao often go over to Salman’s place for dinner.” It was on one such occasion that Aamir spoke at length to Salman about his drinking habits. The flash point for Aamir came when he saw a picture of Salman in Veer and observed that he looked anything but fit. “He patiently explained the perils of alcoholism to him and told him that he had to take control of his habit before the habit took control of him. He also suggested a revised workout for Salman.” Salman, who reportedly, used to consume more than a bottle of his favourite poison a day, saw the wisdom in what Aamir said and decided to give up drinking at least for the duration of Veer. His last drink was on his birthday (Dec 27) and since then he has been on the wagon.Interestingly, Aamir and Salman did not exactly hit it off during the making of Andaz Apna Apna after which Aamir had told the press that he would never work with Salman again. However Aamir’s personal equation with Salman grew over a period of time and today the two share a warm camaraderie. There are now vague talks about a sequel too. We SMSed Aamir for his comments but there was no reply. Aamir’s official PR Spice said, “Aamir is incommunicado as he is busy shooting for 3 Idiots. We will forward your message.” A source close to Salman said, “It’s true that Salman has given up drinking because he wants to be slim and trim in Veer. The film has a lot of scenes that require Salman to be bare-chested. Therefore he had to build muscle tone.” Salim Khan said, “Salman is off drinks at the moment. But I can’t comment on whether Salman followed Aamir’s suggestion or not. Salman and Aamir are good friends and that is between them. I choose not to be a part of it.”The flash point for Aamir came when he saw a picture of Salman in Veer and observed that he looked anything but fit

Salman Khan fined Rs 20 lakh for Amber fort damage
Jaipur: Six days after ordering Bollywood star Salman Khan to pack up filming of Veer at Amber Fort here, the Rajasthan high court on Thursday allowed him to complete shooting in four days, after paying
Rs20 lakh as damages for harm caused to the protected monument.
The Rajasthan HC has allowed Salman Khan to complete shooting of Veer, after paying Rs 20 lakh as damages for harm caused to the protected monument.
The court, which had slammed state officials for 'greed' and 'madness' that had created havoc at the 16th century monument during shooting, said the compensation would include ex gratia for 15 people injured in the wall collapse at the fort during shooting on February 12.
The order was passed by a division bench of acting chief justice RC Gandhi and justice MN Bhandari.
While stopping filming on February 13, after taking suo motu cognisance of media reports, the court had said, "Unfortunately, not only the public but especially the authorities concerned have become blind, deaf and dumb in the glitter of money. In the recent past, historically protected monuments have become commercial sources of income."
Justices Gandhi and Bhandari directed the fort's superintendent, Zafarullah, to keep a watch against further damage and monitor the crew's activities during shooting.
The order came on film producer Vijay Galani's plea, seeking resumption of shooting of the film featuring state tourism minister Bina Kak besides Salman.
The court lifted curbs on the publication of reports on its proceedings over the issue. The curbs were imposed on Wednesday on the producer's petition.

Salman Khan with Punjabi fans

Salman has a huge fan following wherever he goes, with or without his shirt on. When he returned to Punjab to complete the shooting schedule of Heroes, the buzz his arrival generated in the small village of Gharuan was phenomenal.
The location for the song Mannata was at the Akalgarh Sahib Gurudwara. The crew arrived at 5.30 am and by 8 am, word had spread like wild fire. When Salman arrived at the location, the crowd went berserk!
Director Samir Karnik recalls, "The children climbed the walls of the Gurudwara just to get a glimpse of him, the effect he had on the people was amazing. I have never seen anything like this before. Salman’s presence was larger than life. Somehow, the entire village and the surrounding villages got news of the shoot and we had an army of people pushing at the gates to get in and watch the shoot, We had to call in the police to handle the crowd and soon, they were out numbered too. It was sheer madness!"
But the best was yet to come. When Salman alighted from the vanity van dressed as a Sikh man, complete with the turban and the beard, the people greeted him saying "satsriakal praji" as he walked by and he would greet them back in character with the Punjabi accent.
Samir says, "That is the power of his performance, people would ask the crew, ‘Who is this new actor?’ and on hearing that it was Salman, the look in their eyes was priceless. However, Salman did not restrict his role to just the look of his character. He ensured that the entire cast and crew abided with the basic rules of the Sikh faith, which included not smoking and that meant no cigarette packets were carried on location."
We can only hope that the cinema halls will see the same mad rush with the release of the film Heroes.

Salman shines in Jaipur...

Salman makes a grand entry to the setHe’s controvesy’s favourite child but there are reasons why the audience loves him so much. Unlike other Bollywood stars, who generally tend to get perturbed by too much attention from their fans, Salman, who is in Jaipur, seemed to love the presence of thousands of his fans, who had swarmed almost every nook and corner of the Jaleb Chauk at Amber Fort, to catch a glimpse of Sallu Bhai. Salman is currently shooting at the fort for his forthcoming period flick Veer. Day one of the shoot took off with a swayamvar sequence, and the set that has been put up at Amber looked so spectacular, that it transported everyone present there to an era in the past. With the crowd at the scene dressed in outfits of yore, with men dressed as royal guards protecting every entrance, the atmosphere was set for the entry of the prince in shining armour. And sure enough, Salman, dressed like a gladiator riding a huge stallion, made entry into the sets. Jackie Shroff, dressed as a king, was part of the sequence too. Shot taken and okayed, Salman jumped around like a little boy who had just passed an exam. Earlier in the day, when we reached the sets at 11 am, Jackie Shroff was ready with his make up and had his costume on. By then, thousands of fans had gathered, and Jaggu dada was so amazed by this huge turnout of cine buffs, that he began taking pictures of the crowd on his mobile camera. Salman arrived at 3 pm dressed casually in capris and a tee - a look that was completely different from the one that he would sport just an hour later. He waved out to the waiting fans, sent out flying kisses and in characteristic Salman style moved around bindaas checking out the location he was about to shoot in.

Goodbye, Myson
Salman Khan’s pet Myson died on Sunday. Although it was a personal loss, the actor reported to work after the burial

Salman Khan was in for a rude shock on the sets where he was shooting for London Dreams - he had lost his pet dog on Sunday. Myson.
Myson was suffering from a heart ailment. The vet treating Myson, had already informed him that Myson would not live for more than six months. Though grieving for he did not let his personal loss affect the schedule of the film. Our source from the production unit of London Dreams said, “On Sunday night, when Salman was shooting in Karjat for the film, he got a call from home, informing him about the death of Myson. Salman broke down.
After he calmed down, he spoke to Vipul and left for Mumbai immediately. Myson was buried in Salman’s farmhouse in Panvel.
After the burial, everyone expected Salman to cancel the shoot, but a professional that he is, Salman reported back on the sets of London Dreams much to the production unit’s surprise.”
Producer-director of London Dreams, Vipul Shah confirmed the news and said, “It was a sad incident. We were mentally prepared to cancel the shoot, but Salman showed a lot of commitment by reporting back on the sets on the same day.”

Sallu, get your trainer back

Salman Khan, once a dedicated bodybuilder, was voted seventh best looking man in the World and the best looking man in India by an international magazine.
But all that has changed now. Sallu, the quintessential hot bod of the film industry, seems to be letting loose - his muscle mass and taut physique, that is.
The actor's wild lifestyle seems to have caught up with him. The six-pack abs is now replaced by a paunch. With numerous hair weaves and puffy eyes, he doesn't seem to be the superstar we all loved to see shirtless.
Our source who visited the sets of Veer said, “When we saw Salman, he was the shadow of his former self, he had a paunch, under-eye bags and flabby arms.
He was smoking non-stop between shots. When the first look of Veer was revealed, it was evident that the images were digitally corrected.”
Apparently, unlike his colleagues in the industry, Sallu hasn't used a personal trainer for the past two years. Reveals our source close to the star, “For six years he had a personal trainer and dietician, Manish Advilkar.
Now his routine has gone haywire, it depends on his shooting schedule and of course his mood. He now works out on his own without someone over-looking his fitness regime, sometimes even at 2 a.m. Woh apni marzi ka malik hai. Sometimes he cycles from Bandra to his Panvel farm house or sometimes he hits the gym in Bandra.”

A musical affair
Salman Khan adds another feather to his cap; he is set to turn music director under Sajid-Wajid’s guidance
He acts, he paints, he sings, he dances, he writes scripts and now he is gearing to make music. That is Salman Khan for you. A source close to the actor said, “While working on the music of Partner, Salman didn’t approve of a particular song and discussed the shortcomings of the song with Sajid and Wajid. Although the alterations were technically incorrect, the duo went ahead with the modified song which went on to become a huge success.”
Salman KhanOur source added, “Salman has always taken keen interest in the music of all his films. He listens to the score and at times puts his foot down and makes sure that the music is
altered according to his preference.”The Sajid-Wajid duo has been creating music for Salman’s films for over a decade — right from Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya (1998) to God Tussi Great Ho (2008) and the forthcoming Main Aur Mrs. Khanna (2009).Sajid, who spoke to us from Pataya, confirmed and said, “Salmanbhai has a great sense of music. He always gives valuable inputs. We are encouraging him to become a full-fledged music director. We are also trying to get him to sing his songs. Wajid and I will assist him.”

A time for love
Yesterday, Salman Khan spent some quality time with Katrina Kaif on the sets of Ajab Prem Ki Ghajab Kahani

Usually we hear stories about girlfriends and wives visiting film sets to spend time with their busy partners. However, this time it was heartwarming to see Salman Khan deciding to shower attention on girlfriend Katrina Kaif.Yesterday, Salman shot for the Katrina-Ranbir Kapoor starrer Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani in which he is playing a special role. The film is produced by Ramesh Taurani.
Katrina KaifEven after Salman completed shooting for his portions yesterday, he chose to hand around on the film's sets at Film City, Goregaon so that he could spend quality time with Katrina. Our source from the sets said, “Salman and Katrina looked comfortable and quite happy
in each other's company. They even had a few snacks together. Salman has an important role in Ajab Prem… and he is enjoying it.”When contacted, Katrina said, “It would be better if you speak to Raj Kumar Santoshi (director) about this. I am very busy right now.”We tried contacting Santoshi but he was unavailable for comment. Now that's what we call a classic case of mixing business with pleasure. Also one good deed deserves another. Right, Salman-Katrina?

High and dry
Salman Khan is lagging behind his contemporaries. Is alcohol the reason for this setback?
Salman Khan has a lot of ground to cover if he wants to catch up with his contemporaries - Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan who are ruling the box office. His acting skills and stardom are being questioned after he delivered four big flops last year - God Tussi Great Ho, Heroes, Hello and Yuvvraaj. The failure of Yuvvraaj in particular was a huge setback to the actor. It is common knowledge that Salman is fond of his drinking and is known to entertain his friends with food and drinks at his home. And it is not just his home, Salman is also known to indulge in drinks on the sets.We wonder if alcoholism is to be blamed for this setback in his career. Though he had decided to give up alcohol during the month of Ramzan, sources say that he has hit the bottle again. Sources from the sets of Veer say that Salman has often been having vodka from 7.30 p.m onwards and with friends Boney Kapoor and Raj Kumar Santoshi. An insider from the sets of Veer revealed, “On the sets, Salman draws up a table outside his vanity van and opens up a canopy. Then, he starts drinking. He guzzles down some pegs, then goes and gives a shot. By the time another shot gets ready, he has washed down some more pegs.”We asked Raj Kumar Santoshi if he had joined Salman for drinks on the sets of Veer, Santoshi said, “I did go to meet Salman on the sets of Veer as Salman is an old friend and am planning to make a film with him. Boney Kapoor was there too. Salman does drink but we didn’t indulge in drinks. If Boney went on some other day and met Salman over drinks, I wouldn’t know.”On the other hand, Boney Kapoor denied meeting Santoshi on the sets of Veer. Boney said, “I did meet Salman on the sets of Veer one day before his birthday. But he was rushed and we did not have drinks. I didn’t meet Santoshi there; he had left before I reached.”We asked trade expert Amod Mehra the reason for Salman’s career graph heading southwards. Mehra said, “Salman is less dedicated than Shah Rukh and Aamir Khan. His approach towards his films is very lethargic. Also, he doesn’t promote his films like Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar do. He has also put on weight as he has taken his body for granted. He is currently at the fifth position among actors. Not just Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, even
Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan are ahead of him. However, I don’t think Salman’s drinking habit on the sets is any hindrance to his performance.” Another trade expert (on request of anonymity) said, “Salman drinks alcohol on the sets since a long time. It’s an old habit with him. But mind you, he doesn’t get high. Even after drinking, he is his normal self.”Whatever the reason for Salman’s downslide, we hope that he pulls up his socks and gets back on the scene with a bang.Despite a text message, Salman remained unavailable for clarification.

Salman Khan in 'Auto' pilot mode!

Next time if you see Salman Khan driving an autorickshaw in the middle of the night, don't be surprised as the actor seems to be diversifying in the wake of ongoing recession.
According to reports, the hunk was seen driving an autorickshaw after having a late night dinner with current flame Katrina Kaif. As soon as the duo finished their dinner at Olive restaurant, Salman got into the mood of driving a three wheeler instead of his plush four wheel drive and asked the driver to follow him along with Kat in his car.
It seems this was not the first time Salman was riding a three-wheeler as observers say he showed a good control over the vehicle.
Was just wondering, what is next on Sallu's list of must drives -- truck or a tractor? Will wait and watch..
